I recently decided to invest / build a new workstation PC for my CAD work, this will give me more options for the future, quicker render times and more self development learning opportunities.

Some parts for my PC build

Here are the specifications I decided on for this PC, i7 8700K processor, Z370-A Asus Prime Motherboard, 16GB RAM 3000mhz, Samsung 250GB 960 EVO NVME, NZXT X52 Kraken liquid cooler, NZXT H500i case, Corsair RM650X Gold Power Supply, Windows 10 Pro. I have also added a 24 inch 1080p Acer monitor, Logitech keyboard, mouse and speakers. I still have some parts to add before this is completely finished, I'm going to add a GPU card plus some more storage.

Motherboard, RAM, CPU and Cooler

This is now up and running and I overclocked the processor to 4.8ghz.
