A self development render exercise, this was actually created to be a child's wooden toy helicopter model !

I regularly take part in the render weekly challenges on Instagram, this was a challenge to render some creative toy models made by https://www.instagram.com/idrawonreceipts/. I downloaded all the models and decided to render the toy helicopter model, it was my favourite design out of all of the models. I initially decided to make the toy model monochrome but was also experimenting with camouflage colours, whilst adding textures to the model It stood out to me that the design would make a really creative Bluetooth speaker, it reminded me of some JBL Creature speakers I had owned. I experimented with different materials and environments, I felt the model needed a volume control knob and a power on/off button so added these in Keyshot, I eventually settled on a black high gloss base, clear plastic legs and added some chrome finishing touches along with a fabric speaker cover for the materials. I had experimented earlier with camouflage so also decided to add this as a background.

I was happy with the finished renders and still think the model had a really good shape to make cool twin desktop speakers.

I love experimenting in Keyshot with different models, during this exercise I had developed further skills in HDRI Lighting, depth of field, adding basic environmental geometry and altering models within keyshot.
